How did DSP benefit you/what did you enjoy most about being a member of DSP?
Thanks to DSP, I not only learned how to be a young professional, but also how to be a great supporter, mentor, student, and friend. I learned how to market myself as an emerging professional and effectively communicate in the corporate world, but also how to develop meaningful relationships. Most importantly, DSP gave me the confidence to be my own biggest advocate as I continue to navigate the early years of my career. And I am lucky enough to have close friends from the brotherhood cheering me on with their support every step of the way. What have you done since graduation? Thanks to the extensive Beta Gamma network, I currently work as a Cyber & Strategic Risk Consultant at Deloitte. I help some of the largest U.S. financial institutions solve their most pressing regulatory and operational issues. When I am not serving clients, you can find me on the pickleball court, coaching youth athletics, cooking Italian dinners for my friends, or traveling the world. |
Ellie Boan (Class of 2021)How did DSP benefit you/what did you enjoy most about being a member of DSP?
DSP helped me feel much more confident in myself as a professional and encouraged me to want more for myself in my career. I probably wouldn’t have applied for internships my sophomore year if I hadn’t been surrounded by peers who were doing the same thing. The interviews also helped me master the art of small talk, which comes in handy every time I engage with my customers . What have you done since graduation? I am a MuleSoft Success Manager at Salesforce. After graduating with my MIB in 2022, I entered the company as a Level 5 Success Manager instead of the traditional Level 1 Account Development role. I’m really proud of that - I’ve been told many times that I’m the first person in Salesforce history to do this job right out of college. I manage accounts post-implementation and orchestrate high levels of adoption to ensure eventual renewals and expansions. I’m currently working on a few technical certifications to expand career opportunities and better understand my customers challenges . |
Olivia Showers (Class of 2023)How did DSP benefit you/what did you enjoy most about being a member of DSP?
Being a member of DSP made my college career such a memorable experience. I made some of my closest friends through this organization. Through my time, I learn invaluable skills that have prepared me for my post grad career. What have you done since graduation? Since graduating college, I joined Whirlpool Corporation as a part of their Real Whirled Sales Leadership Development program. Through this rotational program, I will have a rotation as a Sales Execution Representative and a Market Development Representative. After my 2 year rotational program, I will likely join the sales organization as a Market Manager. |
