A NOTE FROM OUR President:
"Throughout my time at UofSC, joining Delta Sigma Pi has continually proven to be one of the best decisions I could have made for myself, both as a student and as a young professional. This organization has given me a sense of community and belonging at Carolina, and has opened more doors for professional and personal development than I could have ever imagined was possible in just a few years.
The Brotherhood of DSP is a unified group of students who manage to remain remarkably diverse and independent at the same time, and it is this unique contrast which truly makes our organization one of a kind. While our members share many values--leadership development, mentorship, and self-reflection, to name a few--our wide variety of interests, passions and aspirations set us apart. We encourage and celebrate our differences, and it is this culture of acceptance which inspires Brothers to express themselves and constantly challenge their thinking.
Much like the world of business, life is unpredictable and ever-changing. Although I am not a finance major, DSP has taught me a lot about investing--that is, in yourself. A worthwhile investment demands time, dedication, and hard work. You must be willing to put your resources in without knowing if you will ever receive anything in return, and you must have the humility to recognize your failures so that you can learn from them. You must remain mindful that short-term accomplishments will be outweighed by long-term successes, which is why we must remain forward-thinking in the ways we can improve for the future.
In short, DSP teaches lessons that no textbook can, and the payoff of being a part of this organization has been priceless. I could not be prouder to lead the Beta Gamma Chapter, and I look forward to supporting its members in any way that I can."
