A NOTE FROM OUR President:"I am forever grateful for the positive impact the Delta Sigma Pi Beta Gamma Chapter has had on my college experience, at the University of South Carolina. Through the professional and personal development, I could not have asked for a better group of people to be surrounded by. This organization has done everything from help me find internships, to my full-time job, to raise money for cancer, or even a group of friends that will last far beyond my time at the University of South Carolina. Throughout my time with Delta Sigma Pi, it is clear the diverse experiences and thought in our organizations creates an environment for every member to grow both personally and professionally.
Semester over semester I am continuously impressed by the brotherhood of Delta Sigma Pi; our group of students comes together to support and uplift each other through all aspects of our college experience. This is accurately defined by our three pillars – Professionalism, Service, and Brotherhood. Each semester we see brothers go above and beyond. As the University of South Carolina transitioned to a virtual setting, we saw seamless transitions with our professional development and community service events. For example, Lexi Braz successfully moved a career fair online for 75+ participants, or Isabella Minson created a new golf fundraiser for our annual breast cancer event, due to socially distance requirements. Last but not least, brotherhood, I can speak to my personal experiences as I have lived with brothers in this organization for two years in college and plan to live with brothers after college. We have cultivated unforgettable memories on-campus, on weekend trips to Charleston or Gatlinburg, or even in different parts of the world, and I greatly look forward to the memories to come. These three pillars in Delta Sigma Pi create an environment for everyone to experience tremendous support, encouragement, and growth. I am grateful to be a part of an organization that has had such a positive impact on my college experience, as well as the countless number of other people inside or outside of Delta Sigma Pi. The people around me in this organization push me to be the best version of myself, and I want to pass on my experience to others. Which is why I am excited to lead an organization that will benefit our new members, other student organizations, charities, businesses, and any other group we connect with, because of the exceptional individuals in the Beta Gamma Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi." |
