Fifth Annual Charity Golf Classic
Our chapter is excited to announce the date of our Fifth Annual Charity Golf Classic benefiting the Ray Tanner Foundation! This year the event will take place Friday, March 18th at Cobblestone Park in Blythewood, South Carolina. Home to Gamecock Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams, Cobblestone Park is a beautiful 27-hole course nestled just outside of the state’s capital. This incredible course has been voted one of the best in the Midlands and features panoramic views, rolling hills, and stunning Oaks and Pines.
Delta Sigma Pi’s Annual Charity Golf Classic was created five years ago by two of our brothers striving to impact the community in a meaningful way. These brothers began with a simple idea to add a unique component to our philanthropic efforts and successfully planned the first Golf Classic in under an academic year’s time. Each year the event has grown larger and we cannot wait to make 2016 our most successful year to date!
For the second year in a row we will be donating proceeds from the tournament to the Ray Tanner Foundation. The Foundation, founded by the University of South Carolina’s Athletics Director Ray Tanner, supports organizations that care for seriously ill children, the homeless, and other charitable causes. Benefiting this organization is truly special to our chapter, as it enables us to impact our community and support the mission of one of our own here at our university.
