Lily Kirby

Hi! My name is Lily Kirby, and I am a sophomore studying Business Economics and Operations and Supply Chain Management, with a minor in Film and Media Studies and a concentration in Business Analytics. When I entered college, I had little prior business experience, but I was determined to set myself up for success and make the most of every opportunity available to me.

I knew early on that joining a business fraternity would be an important step in my professional and personal development. After speaking with several brothers of Delta Sigma Pi, it became clear that this organization was the right fit for me. The brothers I met were not only articulate and driven young professionals, but also genuinely kind, inquisitive, and intelligent individuals who shared a commitment to growth and excellence. This organization has provided me with a strong support system, meaningful professional opportunities, and friendships that extend beyond the classroom.

If I could offer one piece of advice as you enter recruitment, it would be this: do not let fear prevent you from taking a step that could change your life. Feeling nervous is completely normal and simply means you care. Take that first step, introduce yourself to someone new, schedule a coffee chat, ask questions, and be yourself. Delta Sigma Pi has given me more than I could have imagined, and I am grateful for everything it has provided. I look forward to seeing what this organization brings to you as you begin your own journey.

Scarlett Seitz

Hi! My name is Scarlett Seitz, and I am a sophomore from Baltimore County, Maryland, majoring in International Business and Marketing with a minor in Spanish. I came to USC with a wide range of career interests, but without a clear direction or path for how to pursue them within business. When I came out to recruitment last semester, I was searching for an organization that inspired growth, both personally and professionally. As a newly initiated brother of Delta Sigma Pi, I can say that I have found this and so much more; I have found genuine friendships, mentors, and, most surprisingly, a new confidence in myself. This community has encouraged me to branch out, get involved, and truly take advantage of every opportunity. This semester, I am so excited to serve on the Recruitment Committee and share my transformative experience with DSP. Joining Delta Sigma Pi has been the highlight of my time at USC thus far, and I look forward to continuing my journey with this passionate group of people. I hope to see you at recruitment!

Jay Patel

Hey guys! My name is Jay Patel, and I am a brother of Delta Sigma Pi here at the University of South Carolina. I’m majoring in Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain, with a minor in Mass Communications and a concentration in Data Analytics. When I arrived on campus, I was determined to find a community where I could create meaningful, lifelong connections while growing personally and professionally. Joining Delta Sigma Pi has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my college journey. It has not only given me lifelong friendships but also helped me explore future career opportunities and develop a strong professional foundation. I’ve been inspired to join other impactful organizations on campus, such as the Darla Moore School Ambassador Program and the Gamecock Consulting Club. These opportunities have allowed me to hone my leadership, networking, and teamwork skills while representing the values I hold close to my heart: service, professionalism, and brotherhood. Outside of school and career-focused activities, I’m passionate about golf, house music, and finding ways to make a positive impact in every community I’m part of. I look forward to continuing to grow, give back, and make the most of my time here at USC!

Danielle Marak

Hi there! My name is Danielle Marak, and I’m a junior studying Marketing and Economics with a minor in Retailing and a concentration in Sustainability. As an in-state student, my number one goal coming into USC was to push myself both personally and professionally, seek out new opportunities, and surround myself with people who challenge me to be better.

By the end of my freshman year, I had a clear sense of the path I wanted to pursue, but I still felt I was missing a community within Darla that could help me take my skills to the next level and push me to become the professional I knew I could be. I wanted to be challenged to grow, embrace uncertainty, and understand my full capacity, and it’s safe to say that going through rush my sophomore year completely changed the trajectory of my college career. Through DSP, I’ve found some of my closest friends and mentors who have given me the tools to become not only a more confident professional, but also a more intentional, introspective individual who looks deeper, asks more thoughtful questions, and truly values getting to know people beyond a surface level. DSP has taught me how to form genuine connections that last a lifetime and has introduced me to incredible individuals from all different backgrounds, expanding my perspective in ways I never expected. As you head into recruitment, I encourage you to be your true self, share your passions, ask questions, and show us what makes you uniquely you. I look forward to meeting you at recruitment!

Ambrose Buening

Hi! My name is Ambrose Buening, and I'm studying Finance and Operations & Supply Chain. I am originally from Columbus, Ohio, and I decided to rush DSP as a sophomore because I didn’t have the community I desired as an out-of-state student. Little did I know that pre-recruitment event would change my life. I realized that DSP was exactly what I had been looking for all my life: a group of lifelong friends who push me day in and day out to become the best version of myself, and mentors who have given me invaluable guidance. I attribute a great deal of the man I’ve become today to this fraternity, as it's given me the tools to form genuine connections and discover who I really am. I look forward to helping others take that first step at recruitment. I hope to see you there!
